We have been looking into farming and all the different types of farms there are. The children in pairs found out a little information on the types of farms and what they produce. The children got this information and some have written it out. This will be displayed the week we return. One pair made a very nice poster on sheep farming, it's very informative :)
The children were put into small groups, mostly in groups of two or three. We randomly chose a European country for each group to research and present on. The children's projects were brilliant. They did a lot of very good research and presented them beautifully on lovely posters or on a powerpoint for the Interactive Whiteboard. The children showed their skills for creativity and independent working on this assignment. The groups worked well together, showing amazing team work. By presenting their fnished projects the rest of the class learned about all of the countries represented and even a few days after the presentation children were able to recite facts about other countries. |
